Boston is the new Hub of Delta Airlines

Delta Airlines announces Boston is now one of its new hub cities.  

During the past year Delta taking Jetblue, and grown rapidly in Boston.

The projected increase by 14.5%   in 2019 of Delta Airlines in Boston. It’s a 4% increase across the rest of the Delta Airlines network.

Recently Delta added Miami a new route from Boston. Boston will be using a secondary gateway for trans-Atlantic flights. Delta has recently added nonstop routes from Boston to Scotland, Portugal, Edinburgh, and Lisbon.

Due to well-positioned geographically for going transatlantic, Boston is a connecting point for US passengers. Boston will maximize the capacity of JFK (New York) used as a secondary transatlantic gateway for US passengers.

Before Boston Delta Airlines designated Seattle a hub city.

Memphis in 2013 and Cincinnati in 2017, Delta Airlines "de-hubbed" these cities.
