First Non-Stop Flight from US to Croatia in 28 Years : American Airlines
On Saturday, June 8 American Airlines flies first non-stop flight from the US to Croatia in 28 years. The American Airlines flies from Philadelphia at 6:30pm and landed Dubrovnik around 9:30am.
It’s a three times a week service, American Airlines leave Philadelphia on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and from Dubrovnik on Wednesday, Saturday and Monday. American Airlines will expand this service four times a week in September.
Dubrovnik has become a very popular destination among US travelers. But, Dubrovnik remains unserved by US Airlines. For the first time, American Airlines starts first non-stop flight to Dubrovnik for Philadelphia. American Airlines has cheap air tickets to Dubrovnik.
American Airlines will start nonstop flights between New York and Zagreb in 2020, if all goes well between Philadelphia and Dubrovnik.
Being an east coast hub of American Airlines, Philadelphia was chosen to be links with Dubrovnik, the west coast, Bahamas, Canada, and the Caribbean. Philadelphia is also close to New York.
American Airlines choose Dubrovnik because it is a very popular destination in Croatia for Americans. Split and Zagreb are other popular destinations for Americans.
Before breakup from former Yugoslavia, there was nonstop service to Chicago O’Hare and New York JFK from Dubrovnik.
