Paid Restaurant at Amsterdam Business Class Lounge : KLM
When we come to three cabins, which make the longest slope a plane, then we are
in the middle of a tectonic change. While it used to be the economy, business
and first-class for many airlines, the first category has become favorable in
many parts of the world and there has been a great improvement in the business
class cabins. Add to the rollout of the premium economy, and today the lineup
looks like the economy, premium economy and business class.
With this improvement in business class cabins - From Coaches to United
Polaris, British Airways is committed to Closing Door Suites on the new A350
aircraft - improving business class lounge and ground services. The latest
innovation is related to KLM, although we are still not sure whether this
development is positive or negative.
Blue Restaurant :
KLM has opened a paid restaurant named "Blue Restaurant" inside its Business Class Crown Lounge in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. And when it is
possible to make reservations in advance, then you can only travel when you can
reach the lounge otherwise. The restaurant is operated by the Chef Joris
Businessman of Michelin-starred RIJKS.
Good or Bad: Paid Lounge Restaurant
With the exception of some spa and barber services, it is unusual to pay extra
for anything in a business or first-class lounge. If other airlines follow this
trend - especially people like United who currently offer a la carte meal for
free at their Polaris lounge - it can make the whole concept of predefined
lounge seriously aware. Especially on
small transatlantic flights between the United States and Europe, the passengers
often choose to eat in the lounge to maximize sleep on the board. Viewing the
prices of United Charging Restaurant in Polaris Lounge or American Airlines, it
would be a shame to see the passengers paying a bill at the end of the meal in
their flagship first dining facility.
However, there is another way to see it. This restaurant does
not replace the usual meal offer, which you find in the Business Class Lounge,
which means that the premium traveler can still enjoy the same food they would
not otherwise do. Those looking for a little fanatic meal have the option to
spend extra money to sit in a restaurant for lounge buffets. More options are
always good for the consumer, even if any of the options are spent.
Do you think it is a good thing for KLM to charge for eating
food from business class passengers at Blue Restaurant?
